Instagram & Meta Ads: a beginner's playbook for Moroccan brands

How to launch your first paid campaign on Instagram and Facebook with a small budget — and actually get sales.

Instagram & Meta Ads: a beginner's playbook for Moroccan brands

Organic reach on Instagram is shrinking. If you want fast, predictable sales for your clothing brand in Morocco, paid ads are no longer optional — they're the engine.

1. Start with 50 MAD/day

You don't need a big budget. A 50 MAD/day campaign over 7 days gives Meta enough data to find your buyers. Scale only after you see results.

2. One product, one audience, one creative

Don't test 10 things at once. Pick your strongest product, target one clear audience (e.g. men 18–28 in Casablanca interested in streetwear), and run one short video.

3. Video > photo

A 9:16 vertical video showing the product on a real person beats any studio photo. Hook the viewer in the first 2 seconds — show the product immediately.

4. Track the right metric

Forget likes. Track Cost Per Purchase (CPP). If your margin is 60 MAD and your CPP is under 40 MAD, you're profitable. Scale.

5. Retarget visitors

Most people don't buy on the first visit. Set up a retargeting campaign for anyone who viewed your product page — these convert 3-5x better than cold traffic.

Pro tip: Connect Meta Pixel to your MerchLab store from day one. Without it, you're flying blind.
